Wii Sports
in
Wii Sports is the game pack that came with my Wii console, and it includes 5 easy to play games that gets you up off the sofa and into the game via motion control based game play.
The Wii Sports disk includes:
Tennis
1-4 Players
A fun game of doubles, Wii tennis uses the WiiMe that you create to represent you in a game of doubles tennis.
It takes a bit to get the hang of timing on the game, but once you sort it out this is a very addicting game to play.
Gameplay is very simple. To serve the ball you swing the Wii remote up and then bring it back down. You can also toss the ball up by pressing and releasing the A button on the remote, then swing the remote to serve the tennis ball in the game.
After that it is as easy as performing forehand and backhand swings with the Wii remote in hand to keep the game going.
Baseball
1-2 Players
Gameplay for the baseball game is a combination of proper remote swings and button manipulation. You can (I do) play the game with just swinging the Wii remote, or you can add in buttons to help you throw an assortment of balls in play.
Bowling
1-4 Players
As with the other games, bowling is all about mimicking the motions of the actual game. With the B button held the Wii remote is lifted up, as if holding the ball in front of you, then drawn down and back before being swung forward, the B button released at the perfect time to release the bowling ball in a smooth roll down the alley.
Additional buttons allow you to move side to side or adjust the angle of your aim.
Golf
1-4 Players
Holding the Wii down as if it were the handle of a golf club, the Wii Sports golf game lets you mimic the play of the game of golf. Note that you can practice your swing with a meter that will give you a good idea of how you did. Then, when you are ready, hold the A button and you will step up to the ball to hit it. The angle of your stroke and club selection can be changed with the Wii remote's arrow pad.
Boxing
1-2 Players
The only one of the Wii Sports games that requires the use of the nunchuk controller with the Wii remote, the boxing game lets you use your body and the motion sensor to punch, block and shift about in a match of three one minute rounds.
Overall Opinion: I really enjoy playing the Wii Sports games, and it can keep you busy for a good while even if you do not immediately buy any other fitness or sports style games for the Wii.
